WENY News Flash Flood, Avoid the Rush


Mission Statement PIE Public Information/Education
To inform and educate the public on matters of environmental and weather related emergencies–how to prevent and prepare for incidents, how to respond when an emergency occurs, how to recover after the threat is stabilized, and how to mitigate damages and adverse effects in the future.
PIE Responsibilities

    1. Provide public information to the residents of Chemung, Steuben and Schuyler Counties thru various communication channels, i.e., news media, social media, brochures and community events.
    2. Partner with area schools and community organizations to promote flood education by use of the flood model, an interactive problem solving tool.
